A native of Ft. Worth , TX. Moved to CA in 1977 and never looked back. Worked in Silicon Valley/high tech (I am a physicist) for many years. In 2002 Mrs. Wino (an Electrical Engineer) and I got fed up and decided to do something completely different (we became Realtors.) I started cooking when I was about 8 years old. Became seriously interested in wine about 30 years ago, and have always loved cheese. I swore I would never make wine, but started with some friends in ‘07 and we are having good success (as amateurs only.) Cheesemaking sounded interesting, and that bug bit me early in ‘08. Cooking, winemaking, and cheesemaking are all a combination of science and art. It allows me to exercise both sides of my brain and what’s better than to share and enjoy the fruits of those labors! |
