Starter question

I have a problem - I ran out of Meso starter and need some for this weekend.  I have an emergency order in, but I’m not sure it will make it here in time.  Have any of you substituted Thermo starter for Meso starter?  I know it will make a different taste; but what else will it do?  I would try a Swiss, but I also lack propionic (which is also on the order).

I’ve used buttermilk before, but I much prefer a starter culture.
