Hi everyone!!  I’m glad to have found this forum - We have eight dairy goats, and over these past few months I’ve enjoyed tremendously making some cheese from their milk.  There is so much more to learn, though, and I didn’t want to keep pestering my friends on goat forums with my endless cheese questions.  So here I am!!

So far have made only chevre (seasoned w/herbs, etc.) and a mild Feta.

Well welcome to you.  Nice way to start out a new year.  I hope you glean as much from the forum as I have.  Its been a great help to me, as well as a wonderful sounding board for new ideas.  Hope to hear from you often as you graduate to other cheeses.

Hi MakeMineCaprine and welcome to the forum.
You will find a lot of good advice on this site as well as a good group of people. Be fore-warned…..
Once you start making a variety of different cheese the bug really hits. I find that I can’t get enough of this hobby, at least during the winter months.
Feel free to ask questions as much as you like. I’m yet to ask a question without getting at least a couple of responses.
Also, Happy New Year!
Dave
