CaCl (flakes/granules) and Citric Acid (granules) are stored in my kitchen cabinet for more than a year, they can not go wrong. Citric Acid I by in the supermarket, I find it on the regular shelves.
Yup citric acid does not go bad, its cheap and I store it in the cupboard. The CaCl I have is liquid and I store that in the door of the fridge.
Also when the powders are in the freeze, they last far longer then their expire date.
