You have probably noticed the links at the top of the page entitled “Your Public Profile” and “Your Control Panel”.

Your Public Profile shows the information that other people on the site can see about your by clicking on your name or clicking on the Profile button within a post.

You can set up and manage this information by clicking on the “Your Control Panel” link. In fact, you can do quite a bit within your personal control panel. Not only can you set up and manage your profile, but you can create signatures that are automatically appended to your posts, you can select or upload an avatar, and/or a photo of yourself, you can control your email settings (where you can even block emails from me), you can change your username and screen name, change passwords, etc. Heck, there is even a personal notebook there for you to use to keep notes to yourself!
