The other day I came across an article that I can’t find anymore; but the gist if it is that there are two types of protein in milk. The A1 type is blamed for most of the lactose intolerance in humans as well as contributing to other non-contagious diseases, such as autism. The A2 type is said to be relatively harmless. The article further stated that the A1 protein is more commonly found in Holsteins, which are the primary dairy cow in North America and a lot of Europe. The point of the article is that we are using the wrong type of cow as a source for our dairy products.
Well, I came across another article along the same vein, so I thought I’d share it with y’all. It gets a bit technical at times, but it basically corroborates the theme of the first article.
