It should not have happened, but it did.  I am in the midst of an ice storm, and I can’t get to work.  Unfortunately, I don’t have milk either, so I can’t make cheese.  No, I’m not going to venture out to get milk.  Guess I’ll just have to sit here and EAT cheese.

I’m in the same boat.  Iced in and one gallon of milk in the house.  What to make?  I’m thinking LeipaJuusto.  I’ve been wanting to try it.

Guys…
I’m afraid that I would have taken the chance and gone after milk.
A day off of work sounds wonderful but a day making some cheese would have made it perfect.
We had about 5” of snow last night and are expecting another 4 - 6 inches this evening.
Unfortunately, my company supplies me with a 4 wheel drive vehicle so I’m stuck going in, regardless.
Oh well, only a few more days to the weekend.

Sounds better than here.  It sleeted all day yesterday, last night, and today.  Finally about dark it quit.  My LeipaJuusto failed.  Never got a solid curd.  A perfectly good gallon of milk literally down the drain.

yep it makes you wonder at times i’ve done that with mozzarella good milk down the drain i live in the ACT where Canberra is the aussie capital and we get snow on the mountains surrounding us but we are in a valley and only get frost in winter the lowest it gets is -7 or 8 about 19 -20f so we can grow the lovely cold climate plants and fruits without the snow cheese
