This photo was submitted by Bob Madill. Bob, maybe you can use the comments to give us more information about this photo? Looks like Boletus edulus or a King Bolete to me. |

Morels
|
A photo of 4 nice-looking morels. I'd live to find some of these this Spring! Submitted by Bob Madill. The other mushroom looks to me like some kind of Agaricus, but it is really hard to tell. |

Recently Found Photo

I found this photo in a small box of wooden toys that my grandfather had made for his 11-year-old sister when he was 8 years old. I'm not sure who is in the photo, but wanted to get it archived here. I'm guessing the baby could be my mother and the lady her grandmother?
The back of the photo has a stamp on it: Never-Made Border Print, Made By Daniel Studios, Lubbock, Texas. |

A Huge "Giant Puffball" - Calvatia gigantea
|
This is the biggest mushroom I've seen at the cabin. It is a giant puffball, also called Calvatia Gigantea. It is edible and highly prized for its flavor when young. We decided not to eat this one because it is so interesting to look at. |

James Cannon Abbot
|
Pam Cole's great grandfather. The photos of Mary Elana look so much like him at a similar age. He was part of the red-headed set of Abbott kinds and Mary had dark hair, but still aged to look alike. (Submitted by Pam Cole.) |
