Also known as "Fairy Slipper", this is a fairly rare mountain wildflower that is an orchid. This photo was submitted by Fred Johnson. He took the photo near Red Feather Lakes, probably sometime in mid-Summer. We get quite a few of these on the cabin land down near the creek. Thanks for Fred for this great photo!
