New Banner Photos
I've used the same set of banner photos on my web site for many, many years. So, over the past few days I've explored how to use the new web site software (we recently upgraded to) to rethink that banner. It used to be a bunch of tiny photos of things in my life: cooking, dogs, cats, the cabin, wildflowers, wild mushrooms, ...
Now, I have decided to use only five photos, and they are bigger so you can actually see what the subject is
And, I can add new photos to the banner or rearrange their order easily. Keep an eye out for changing "themes". I'm starting with a winter theme and it seems to have lots of dogs, too. Lynne has said I can steal some of her photos for future banners.

Weather Station is Up-And-Running in NJ
Today, I got the weather station mounted, the server computer running, and the webcam working. So, you can now view the current weather and an image of our back yard on the weather site. (Just click on “Personal Weather Station” to the right, or go to http://www.rickandlynne.com/weather/index.html . All the data should now be accurate for our location in NJ, including temperature, humidity, sun rise/set, etc. However, because of where the station is mounted, it will not accurately reflect wind—but it will be representative of what the wind is like on the back deck looking down over the pool!
