Great photos! I like the depth of field you got in the close-up. You have to think about settings to take a close-up in lower light and get everything in focus.
Our amaryllis(es?) are just about to bloom. We have one stalk with two big buds, and the other stalks are still growing.

Steve, thank you! Yes, I tried a bunch of different setting combos: ISO speeds, white balance, etc to finally get what I wanted. Glad you liked them! I’ll look forward to seeing yours in bloom—I’m sure you’ll blog about it, right? The stalk on this one is HUGE and it has four buds on one stalk.

How do I live without a camera ? Very poorly. It’s been a very frustrating 2 weeks. But what’s killing me is my inability to choose a replacement. My birthday’s tomorrow - I need SOMETHING to happen soon
