This has become our favorite little late afternoon drink on the weekends.
The “Autumn Evening”
1 oz. lemon vodka
1 oz. apricot nectar
1/2 oz. Cointreau
1/4 to 1/2 oz. vanilla extract, according to taste
Mix in a shaker. Pour over ice. Sprinkle with some cinnamon.
I know it might sound a bit odd, but oh my goodness, it’s GOOD!

It does sound fruity. Did you make up the recipe or find it somewhere? It was just 40 degrees when I got up this morning so something iced isn’t too appealing right now. HOT chai sounds more like it! After rain all day yesterday and cloudy sort of rainy the day before, it’s good to finally see some SUN and blue skies! At least we have it here - hope you do as well.

C, no we didn’t make it up. Rick found it on a food blog he follows. The recipe actually came from Ketel Vodka which is one of the food blog’s sponsors. Yes, we have blue skies (finally) this morning. Most of the day yesterday was drippy.
Maggie, it would certainly kick-start your day!

I would try it, but that would necessitate buying lemon vodka, cointreau and apricot nectar. (I think we might have the vanilla lying around somewhere.)
A glass of wine is just easier!
