Born to Run

Cabin Christmas 062

Joining in with Kathy's Song-ography today and only one thing and one photo came to my mind. Instead of trying to do an interpretation of the lyrics, I knew I wanted to dedicated this entry to my dog Alex.

This photo was taken back in 2003 when Alex was still a puppy. It almost got him on the cover of a calendar (he made January). Today that same puppy is about to turn 11 years old in October and is currently in remission from lymphoma. Keep on running Alex!

YEA Alex, you go!!!

I am a New Jersey girl too….born and raised!  I used to be able to say that i lived more than half my life in NJ…but now unfortunately…more than half my life has been smack dab in the middle of the country…Chicago.  But i just love going back for visits!  Love your photo of your dear Alex…beautiful.  I am so glad to hear that he is in remission ... good for him!  I am such a dog lover too! Keep on running!!!

Great shot!!

Love this pic of my boy, Alex, altho I have to admit my heart almost stopped when I first saw it. You know!

That photo should have been on a calendar. Love to the Boo!

Alex is a gorgeous pup! I love your dog xxxooo.

awesome image!! jersey girl, born and raised….still here, never left!!

Alex is so handsome and he looks so exuberant here.  I can see why he made it into a calendar shot.  -  Hope he has many more happy years of running.

Pure joy!!

And THIS is why I say the photos don’t have to be taken specificallly for the song title.  Beause sometimes ya just have the perfect shot already in your stash.  So happy that “Born to Run” made you think of this shot and you linked up.  And it’s just darn perfect in EVERY way smile.  Keep on running Alex.  He was certainly born to run.  Thanks for joining in on Song-ography this week.

Alex!  Fantastic image.  I have one of my dog crashing thru snow like that and I too love it for the joy that exudes from the page.
Glad to hear that he’s in remission.  I hope it will give you more time with him.  I’m currently nursing a sick cat wondering….you know how you just wonder.  Great take on the song.

Dogs are just so darn exuberant, aren’t they?

He is such a gorgeous dog grin

Beautiful animal portrait.
