Flutterby

Back to a new slo-mo vid for you. Who knew that butterflies [or maybe these are moths?] use their wings like birds do? They always look like they are just flitting around and not taking deep strokes. This is a series of clips put together in one video. Watch for a bumblebee to helicopter in on the third butterfly segment.

Comments:

These are exquisite! I tried to get a pic of some orange and black butterflies this morning, but they were all blurry.

More slo mo!!!

Pouring a fizzy drink into a glass? I’ve always wondered what that was about!

(the word code is MORE!)

Amazing.  I’m all for the fizzy drink too.  More more more!!!!

wow! i was transfixed by that. that’s amazing! it looks like hard work. i think i would walk a lot if i were a flutterby. don’t apologise for being down! it is natural. i am very jealous of the pool as i sit here in wooly slippers snivelling with a cold!
;0p

That was simply amazing. Thanks so much for sharing. grin

Funny, when you see videos like these, it make you wonder the secrets behind the motion of other objects and living things alike. I remember being fascinated in one of my Social Studies classes eons ago. We were discussing the Industrial Revolution and child-labor. There was a picture taken of a young girl who moved so fast in her job that even the camera shutter could not catch her movements.

I like your video Lynne. The butterfly movements are cool, but the bee motion is even better.

Fantastic!
