Hi Lynne-Have just discovered your blog and I love it. The forest that you live near seems so magical! Bears and turkeys - wow! Love your photos too.

Such a beauty…I love big dogs. When I was a teenager, I had the pleasure of living with ‘Jimmy’ a beautiful Newfoundland Dog. He was the funniest dog, such a goof, and he thought he was a lap dog…! Although we lived on the ocean and had many lakes around us, he never took to the water. He would lay on the shore watching worriedly as I swam. The only time he would go in the water was when he felt I needed rescuing and then he would come and retrieve me from the water. I never did really need to be rescued, as I am a strong swimmer; however, he felt that an hour in the water was enough, since he weighed more than I did I allowed him to rescue me.
