I’m glad I captured the ice “on film” the other day because now all those paintings and sculptures are gone, wiped and melted away by our most recent little snowfall. The temperature warmed up and the crystalline pieces of art are no longer. In their place comes another kind of canvas for Mother Nature.
And just like the ice, the old decade is gone. It’s a new one out there today. I’m not really sure where the past ten years have gone. They seem to have flown by while I wasn’t watching. Some years were good, some weren’t. The world as we once knew it changed completely during those years, and not for the better. If you believe the ancient Mayan predictions we only have two more years left on planet Earth before something cataclysmic happens. But what?
I’m all for moving on with the new year even though it’s really just another day on the calendar. Here’s wishing you all the best in the New Year and I hope it’s a good one for you! I’m not quite sure what happened to the old saying “Peace on Earth, Goodwill Towards Men (or Mankind),” but it seems like we should practice that a bit more.
Happy 2010 Everyone!
You got that right…I miss my world. Peace on Earth - Goodwill Towards Men should be our thought for the day…every day

Happy new year and happy new decade! Love the ice and snow and all the tree branches.
Yes the world has changed, but only for the worse. There was a whole of lot good that took place in the last ten years, too.
All the best for you in 2010 and beyond! xx

Your little area of the world is just so beautiful- looks so peaceful- you could easily make a calender out of your photos taken just around your home!

Happy New Year Lynne
I think things tend to ebb and flow…it should be nearly time for the goodness in mankind to start with a vengence.

No doubt the decade will go ahead being good and bad, as always - lets hope for more of the goodness.

Reya, yes a lot of good, but our world changed forever on 9/11 bringing terrorism into everyone’s living room.
Jess, it is pretty here! I actually am making calendars for the family with my photos; just haven’t finished yet!
Susan, amen to that!
Letty, yes, more goodness and kindness would be nice. We can hope!
