I hope they do! How fortunate for you to have captured a pic of this guy with shell.
I used to collect them (regular cicada shells, not these big monsters) when we were kids. And still do pick one up whenever I see one, usually a couple times a summer!
Cool! I really feel like I’m missing something, not hearing and seeing these cicadas!
