Never knew they grew cotton in New Mexico! Glad to see you arrived safe and sound.

C, me either! But they seem to be even more plentiful than the chile fields.

O.K., I get the chilies and even the pecans (who knew?), but I really thought the “deep south” had the dibs on growing cotton! That is truly bizarre. Not that my feelings are hurt, because even though I live in the south it is not my true home (go NY!). Have fun in that strange place—-I envy your access to great Mexican food!

Gathering chillies looks a labour intensive job - the weather looks perfect. My sunny Cornish holiday of a couple of weeks ago is long forgotten as we have returned to rain and much cooler weather here in the north. Enjoy your break.

No, you are NOT in NJ today (10/29) because if you were you’d be in the middle of a big October snowstorm!!!! Aren’t you sad you are missing it? I am.

BIgsis, I didn’t know about the cotton either and I’ve been here plenty of times before. This is the first time I’ve seen cotton fields here.
Joyce, very labor intensive! Back breaking work! Our sunny time here is about to be rudely awakened when we get home with around one foot of snow waiting for us.
Bigsis, I am truly sad we are not there to witness this rare early snow. I just hope my trees can hold up without too much damage since they still have leaves. Hopefully our trip home will be uneventful tomorrow when it’s all ove with! We’ll talk soon!
