Our rhododendrons are out-doing themselves this year. They are a riot of color; exploding with dense clusters of bell-shaped flowers.
I am not their only admirer. Here they are visited by pollen-laden bee.
This swallowtail butterfly likes them too.
Don’t you agree they are beautiful?
Absolutely! I’m jealous of your red/dark pink ones, I’ve only got those light purple ones.

They’re beautiful!
Ours have just burst open too, I tried to get pics, but they are all blurry, so I’ll try again. Mine don’t seem to come with that wonderful butterfly fashion accessory though…

I am in New Jersey as well and my Rhodies are also beautiful this year. The abundant rain and cool weather has made them extremely happy:) You captured the Butterfly beautifully! Last year I raised Monarchs and also had a few Black Swallowtail that pupated just from the Dill grown in pots on my deck. This has been a glorious Spring here in NJ…and by the way, your Blog shows that NJ is way more than the New Jersey Turnpike! People would be surprised at how beautiful it is here! I am a transplanted New Englander for the past 22 years, so that makes me a not so “New” Jersey girl…....but I’m definitely a Jersey Girl too….....

Luke, yeah but your bush is beautiful!
Reya, Mary, thank you!
Susan in WA, they are extremely hard to get photos of. I tried for days and finally ended up with these. The butterfly was a complete fluke. I was standing there waiting for more bees and the butterfly just landed. Lucky!
Letty, good to see you again! Glad you enjoyed ...
Susan, welcome to my blog! Yes, New Jersey is so much more than the rest of the country gives it credit for. It has been a gorgeous spring here! I hope you come back to visit again soon!
