Pool dazed

Lynne Robinson, Hewitt, New Jersey

Those my thoughts yesterday as I bobbed around the pool. What a perfect day for it! Blue sky, hot and slightly humid, cicadas starting up. The pool temperature was perfection! Here is Rick before I nabbed his hat.

We did get up early though and go into the Warwick Farmer’s Market. It’s a great drive in Mia over all the back roads.

The rest of the day was spent around the pool. Here’s to lazy summer days!

Side note: I know it’s not the Panama Canal but at least it’s something!

Comments:

So that is where I left my swim trunks!

I LOVE fresh vegies & fruits…yummy…those peaches look mighty tasty.  I bought some a couple weeks ago at the grocery store…sad…didn’t even TASTE like peaches.  I bet these are good though…

Rick ... hahaha! I thought they were our new flag.

Debra, these *do* taste like peaches! Juicy!

These hazy, hot, humid days make the pool worth every bit of effort….. especially when you can swim “au natural”..... I was gifted with a baby fig tree this week-end….. looking for advice on how not to kill it!

How wonderful Maggie! Now you have one too! I water mine every day and every three weeks I give it some fish emulsion. I counted about 60 figs this weekend! I must be doing something right. Just bring it in for the winter!

What a lovely way to spend a day.  We are just home from Canada and the weather here in Scotland is wet, wet, wet…

Joyce, Welcome home! I’m sorry you’re so wet! Hopefully your weather in Canada was nice, sunny and dry!

Your farmer’s market looks fantastic.  Laramie now has a market that gets better and better every year. And to come home to a pool would be heavenly.

Donna, I didn’t know that Laramie had a Farmer’s Market! What kinds of products do you find there? Yes, the pool makes our current heat wave bearable!

It probably isn’t as large as yours, but they have all kinds of fruits, vegies, flowers, baked goods and lots and lots of stalls.  Most of the vendors come from Colorado but there are also local people who take part.  It is hard to believe how much it has grown.
