Slight wardrobe change

IMG 6943

I was able to exchange the three-stranded necklace for the one above. I tried on every necklace in the store I think that was cubic zirconia. The necklace came with the earrings (see three-squared drop ones) as a set but I opted to stay with the other earrings I had already bought. So now I have two! I think I would like the square earrings better if they were just studs or perhaps just two of the drops instead of three.

The fitting went well. I had small heart palpitations when she wielded her scissors on the hem of my beautiful dress, but as she told me: “I know-a what I am doing, don’t-a worry!” My next (and hopefully final) fitting is Friday. Rick approved of the dress!

Comments:

Love the new necklace and the way it comes to a point! It’s really elegant. I agree with you about the earrings—I like the first ones better, but as you said, you can always alter the new ones—take off a drop or two.

Can’t wait to see how everything works together!  It will be stunning!  Once upon a time I used to sew (a lot!) and made all my own clothes so I know exactly how you felt when that first cut was made.  There is no turning back!  To sew now is just too expensive and time-consuming.  Looking forward to more pics!

The earrings from the first necklace look like they were absolutely made for the second necklace!  I agree too!!!

Big sis, glad you like the “new” necklace. Like I told you, not sure if it is “simpler” than the old one but at least it doesn’t turn over. And, yes, “elegant” is the right word.

Helene, it all looks very good together. I hope someone has a camera at this event! wink I felt like I was on Project Runway and had been taken over by a mad contestant!

Carolyn, the square ones look good too, but I do agree, the first ones look better. At least that’s my opinion for now!

Oh that’s lovely I really like it.  Looking forward to seeing you in your full outfit it will look amazing.

Love the new necklace too.  Seeing the “whole package” will be a thing of beauty for sure.  I can hardly wait. I am so excited for you Lynn!

Joyce, I can’t wait to see it all put together too on that night.

Debra, I’m excited too!
