A new season has been created here in New Jersey: Sprinter. Not Spring. Not Winter. Sprinter. Another snow swept through yesterday leaving everything looking like someone had traced around all the branches and trees with a big fat white marker.
The buds are confused.
And oh ... remember those little catkins I was so excited about? I think they were wise to wait.
Pretty? Yes. Wanted? NO.
Here in SW Scotland Spring has arrived. We have had lovely sunny days, warm enough to enjoy coffee on the summer seats. Our clocks spring forward one hour this weekend - I so look forward to the lighter evenings. We have planted primulas in our garden which has given an instant burst of colour. I hope you too can soon enjoy the delights of Spring.

Hi Joyce! I’m so glad you’re finally getting your Spring! We already sprang forward a few weeks ago and I do like the lighter evenings but it’s so hard to get up in the mornings! Soon I hope we can start our Spring.
