They do make a mess, but their cuteness almost makes up for it. They are sly little things though. I can’t help but laugh when I catch them at the bird feeder. I scold them and they just look at me and I hear a Steve Urkel voice saying, “Did I do that?”
I’m not so sure they are “cute”. We have way too many of them and basically they are just rodents with a bushy tail! They poo and pee all over the deck railings; it’s disgusting!
I used to think they were cute until I was overrun with the critters! I like the chipmunks better!
I call them “tree rats” and let the dogs chase them whenever I catch one on the birdfeeders. HA!
Bigsis, when the dogs see them on the deck they always chase them off too!
My hounds are forever optimistic that they will catch one. Poor things haven’t got a chance, but they have a lot of fun trying!
Speaking of dogs…ticks? LOL I’m so glad we don’t have them here. I remember visiting my grandparents in Texas and gma using her lit cigarette to get them off us. I don’t recall how they got rid of the chiggers. Ew. Keep trying, you’ll get that perfect fern shot.
How fun to look at your dresses. I had no idea weddings had gotten so involved. As a parent of an 18 and 20 year old girls, I think I’m terrified! Acutally, I can totaly see my girls wanting a simple wedding like yours to Rick was. At least Kaitie would…as long as it was outside!
The whole blogging/Facebook thing. I really love the instant reponse and ease of FB. Our entire family is connected, including my 87 year old Aunt. I still love blogging, but don’t often make the time to write my little stories. I’m already starting to regret not having them written down. Not so much for others, but for my own self. I like going back and reading about what we have done. (of course the girls are forever telling me “that’s not what really happened!” I can’t help it if it needs a little embellishing!)
Do you think I’ve written a long enough catch-up comment?
Susan! Oh my! You left a short novel as a comment! Thank you for slogging through all those posts!
The only time my dogs have caught a squirrel has been when they are babies. So much fun to chase!
I would think you would have ticks in that damp climate you live in. No?
Just you wait! The wedding mania will take over even Kaitie! But I hope it doesn’t, frankly.
What is life about if you don’t record and capture those little stories about the smaller moments of life? Keep writing Susan! C’mon, you can do this! I’ll be waiting. And how about those photos? Hmm?
Oh isn’t he just gorgeous. Unfortunately they are culling the grey squirrels round here to ensure the red ones survive.
Joyce, you should try and get some photos of your red squirrels! I’d love to see them.
