I’m glad I captured the ice “on film” the other day because now all those paintings and sculptures are gone, wiped and melted away by our most recent little snowfall. The temperature warmed up and the crystalline pieces of art are no longer. In their place comes another kind of canvas for Mother Nature.
And just like the ice, the old decade is gone. It’s a new one out there today. I’m not really sure where the past ten years have gone. They seem to have flown by while I wasn’t watching. Some years were good, some weren’t. The world as we once knew it changed completely during those years, and not for the better. If you believe the ancient Mayan predictions we only have two more years left on planet Earth before something cataclysmic happens. But what?
I’m all for moving on with the new year even though it’s really just another day on the calendar. Here’s wishing you all the best in the New Year and I hope it’s a good one for you! I’m not quite sure what happened to the old saying “Peace on Earth, Goodwill Towards Men (or Mankind),” but it seems like we should practice that a bit more.
Happy 2010 Everyone!
