A Chapter Ends

Posted by: Rick

We have sold the cabin.

If you've followed this blog, you know the history: we purchased the land in 1988; visited and camped on the land for many years while dreaming of a cabin someday; built the cabin in 2000; enjoyed it as a vacation home / retreat even while living in NJ for 10 years; returned to CO and lived full-time in the cabin for 2 years in 2016.

We have itchy feet and feel a need for another change in our lives. We get that way every couple of years. Our history is one of constant movement and writing new chapters in our lives. So, here we go again. We are not 100% sure what we'll do or where we will end up. But, figuring that out is part of the new chapter.

We hope you've enjoyed this blog over the years. We'll leave it up for a while, but will eventually retire it.

Thanks for the update. I enjoyed the writing both of you did about this adventure. Maybe a new blog about the next stop on your journey? But I’ll miss seeing those moose!

Hi Steve! Thanks for being a loyal reader through the years. I have thought about starting to blog again, so you never know! I will update here if I do. We are headed out of Colorado to .....????? Tennessee? We will also miss the moose.

I began following the New Jersey Girl blog years ago, and I do miss the writing and the pics of the bears, the dogs, and all, and I enjoyed the CO cabin adventures, too. Hope one or both of you continue to write. But whether you do or not, here’s to your future happy adventures!

Good to know.  I’m just starting construction on my property “over the hill” in the Laramie river valley.

Hello Christina! How nice of you to comment about my dusty old blog! I do miss blogging and surely do miss “my” bears. My life is kind of boring here in Colorado right now. It’s not like New Jersey was, or the cabin. But I have been tossing around the idea of blogging again. Not sure how interesting it will be! Keep checking back at my blog (now called “Used to be a “new” Jersey Girl, now a Colorado Girl” and you might be surprised one day. Thank you so much for your kind words. ~Lynne
