Sagebrush Buttercup
These are also early bloomers, competing with the Pasque Flower to be the first to bloom. They are less than an inch in diameter and have bright, waxy yellow petals. They also bloom among the sagebrush where the snow is recently melted.

Bluebells
These show up a little bit after the other early bloomers and will grow along the roadside among rocks. Look for these in mid to late April.

Phlox
Phlox can be seen in late April blooming in disturbed soil, especially along the sides of the dirt roads. It also can be seen in mid to late April.
