2 tbs. flour 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. dry mustard 1 tbs. sugar 1/4 tsp. paprika 2 egg yolks, or 1 egg 1 1/4 cups milk, scalded 1/3 cup vinegar 1 tbs. butter |

Instructions:
|
Mix four and seasonings in top of a double boiler. Add beaten egg and mix well. Add hot milk gradually, stirring constantly. Cook over hot water until smooth and thick, 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from heat, add vinegar and butter, beat until smooth, and chill. Dressing may be thinned with cream, milk, or French dressing. |
