These super-tasty meatballs make a great dish for a party or pot luck.
Serving Suggestions:
We transport them in a slow-cooker which can be used to keep them warm, and make small paper plates and toothpicks available.
Ingredients:
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/4 cup fresh bread crumbs
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
2 tbs. Cajun seasoning
1 tbs. dried parsley
1 tbs. Worcestershire sauce
1-1/2 tsp. hot pepper sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 cup of your favorite store-bought barbecue sauce
1/2 cup peach preserves

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil, coat with cooking spray.

2. Stir together egg, bread crumbs, and milk in a bowl. Stir in onion, Cajun seasoning, parsley, Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce, and salt. Add the beef and mix well. Form into golf-ball sized meatballs and arrange on the prepared baking sheet.

3. Bake 20 minutes, or until the temperature in the center of the meatballs reaches 160°F.

4. Meanwhile, stir together barbecue sauce and peach preserves in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook until bubbly and preserves are melted, about 5 minutes.

5. Transfer meatballs to a serving dish and drizzle with the sauce. Toss gently to coat. Serve with toothpicks, if appropriate.
