We aren't sure where this recipe came from, but the original is in metric measurements, so maybe Britain or Australia? In any case, it is a really great recipe, a bit different from most. |

We often have chicken wings for a light lunch. In summer, we grill them. But, you can usually use an air fryer or stove to make any recipe. |
Ingredients:
Rub: 2 pounds chicken wings, cut into flats and drumettes 2 tbs. vegetable oil 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. garlic powder 1 tsp. paprika 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper 1/2 tsp. onion powder 1/2 tsp. baking powder (adds crispiness) Sauce: 2 tbs. honey 1 tbs. soy sauce 1 tbs. hot sauce (or ketchup), we use Franks 1 tbs. melted butter |
Instructions:
1. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. 2. In a large bowl, combine the rub ingredients. Add wings and drizzle with oil. Toss until evenly coated. 3. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top. Arrange the wings in a single layer, don't crowd them. 4. Bake 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy. 5. Alternately, for an air fryer, cook at 375°F for 20-25 minutes, shaking halfway through. 6. Make the sauce by combining the sauce ingredients in a bowl. Add the cooked wings and toss them in the sauce until well-coated. 7. Serve hot. |
