Attributes:
Comments:
A fortified wine. Can be made with many flavorings. Try 25-30 new peach tree leaves, green walnuts (whole), lemons, etc. If using oranges or lemons, discard most of the white part of the peel or the wine might be too bitter.
Serving Suggestions:
Ingredients:
2 oranges, peeled and quartered
1-1/2 quarts good rosé wine (2 bottles)
1/2 cup good cognac
1/2 cup sugar
Instructions:
Peel the oranges and remove the segments. Put the segments along with some peel (about 1/2 of an orange) into a glass jar that can be well sealed. Add the wine and the cognac. Keep in a cool place for at least 1 month. Remove the oranges and filter the wine. Add sugar to taste.
