You can change and adapt this recipe many ways with different fruits, liquors, etc.
Serving Suggestions:
Depending on the flavor, this is usually great with some fresh berries.
Ingredients:
1 cup water
3/4 cup sugar
3 to 4 cups of prepared fruit(s)
1/3 cup freshly squeezed citrus juice (orange, lemon, lime)
1/4 cup liquor (optional) (Cointreau, Sambucca, Kirsh, etc.)

Instructions:
1. Combine the water and sugar in a medium saucepan and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Simmer for 5 minutes without stirring and set in the refrigerator to cool. If you are using a sweet fruit, feel free to reduce the sugar some.

2. Prepare the fruit while the syrup is cooling. You can use just about any fruit or combinations of fruits: apples, peaches, pears, kiwi, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, etc. For example, apple-pear-kiwi would use about 2 Granny Smith apples, 1 large ripe pear, and 2 to 3 ripe Kiwis. For peach, use about 1 pound of peeled, sliced peaches. For berries, use about 1 pound. If the fruit is hard, microwave it for a few seconds to soften it. Put all fruit in a blender or food processor and process until fairly smooth, it does not have to be pureed.

3. Add the syrup, citrus juice and liquor (if using) and pulse to combine.

4. Chill. Then put in ice cream maker and churn until frozen enough to scoop out into a container. Keep container in the freezer. Allow to set for at least a few hours before serving. Feel free to stir occasionally.
